[Discuss] new laptop, new problems

this problem has not gone away, and unless it gets solved,
i'm going to need to return the laptop to amazon.  the two
questions are:

1. how do i keep it from automatically going into suspend
after 15 min?
2. once it's in suspend mode, how can i get it out, without
a reboot?

any help would be much appreciated.
