going to settings displays, i see:


    orientation:  landscape
    resolution:   1024x768 (4:3)
    refresh rate: 60.00 Hz


there is no option for changing the resolution -- it's just
a given.




The desktop environment should have a GUI where the display resolution can
be changed.


In KDE, it's at System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display
