My recommendation would be to not replace hardware until it
shows signs of being inadequate or failing. The real-world daily
difference between 6 and 7 is almost always immaterial.

Having the same SSID on all wifi access points is a required
step in seamless roaming for mobile devices, and makes it a tiny
bit easier to configure devices that won't "roam" but do get
moved from time to time, since they get one config and not two.

The other steps involve not using NAT on the access points
themselves, and using a static IP or consistent DHCP source.
This may be harder to arrange on a MoCA router, since they will
probably assume that the MoCA connection is to an external
network; I don't know if that can be configured.
