Speaking of 3D printing...

The cost of the plastic filament has apparently gone up recently
(probably because of 3d printing), but the plastic pellets from which
it is made hasn't. Queue contest for a device to convert pellets to
filament.   Winning device is less then $250 for parts (in quantity
400).
