[BLU/Officers] Slides and notes for September BLU Notes

Hi, Bill.

I posted your notes as-is to the BLU server, but when i tried to generate a
PDF version, i couldn't get pandoc to work right.

It keeps choking on the images, and it also spits out warnings about
unicode characters that latex apparently cannot handle.

Can you send me PDF versions of your slides and your notes?
