  On another Facebook page someone had posted a link about Bruce 
Crandall  and his actions that produced a CMH.


  Here is a comment that is very telling.

Now a days he would have been. Grounded in the return of the first 
flight pending an 15-6, investigation, made RL3 because after being shot 
at and knowing he was hit ,he did not land ,he flew back to 
base......time have changed ,and I'm not sure for the better
