Not in the least.

First, there are revisions of the Linus kernel: 0.12plFOO up through the
current development kernel in the 2.5.50? range.

Second, there are branched kernels: -ac, -mt, "fit every compatible
patch", and so forth. Red Hat's experiments fit into this category.

Finally, any given kernel codebase can be compiled in millions of
different ways: all the choices that a make kernel config gives you.
