So does this mean H1B's are not welcome at the BLU events ;) ?

Keep an eye on CSPAN. I saw a debate between all the democratic
candidates from a steel local in Philly last night that
was pretty interesting. Some of the questions dealt with
immigration and labour problems, although most of the candidates
spoke more about manufacturing than software. One, I think it
may have been Lieberman, mentioned that very technical jobs were
also being lost. You probably wouldn't want to vote for
Carole Moseley Braun if you don't want more Canadian and
Mexican H1B's. She seemed to favour open borders (interesting
Candidate though - I could see her leading the NDP in Canada).
Kucinich wants to rescind NAFTA, which would eliminate the
TN-1 visa, I guess (unless the old Free Trade visa would come
back in it's place). I can't remember much that Kerry said.
He certainly looks very presidential, but his ideas didn't
strike me as all that interesting.

I just want to say in my defence as an H1B, I came here when
there was an apparent boom and would have left if my girlfriend
were willing to live in Canada.
