How's Dell Inspiron for Linux?

Ok, I'm celebrating my new job with a laptop.  The ol' Thinkpad looks
pretty close to dead.  Since I'd like to just grab a new machine in
a short amount of time I'm looking at the Dell Inspiron 5100 series
(2.4GHz Pentium4).  Anybody running dual boot on one of those?  It do 
pretty well?  I'm tempted to just leave Windows on it when it comes, but I 
really do like having a Linux machine with me wherever I go.  Hence the 
dual boot question.
