We have several Linux related roles in MA. If you are interested and

Our customer is looking for a Senior or Prin level OS consultant to work
on MAC. This is a temp to perm role. The team develops Windows, Mac OS
X, and Linux clients for their shared storage products.
 
The ideal candidate will be a Sr or Principal level engineer with a
strong background in operating system concepts; file system development
experience is a plus. Our customer is looking for a consultant  that can
deliver complex software solutions based on their own estimates. The
position requires a strong team player that can move fast and adjust to
change in a complex and agile development environment.   
 
Required Skills: 
" Strong knowledge of operating system concepts
  Must have worked on an OS at the kernel level and understand OS
concepts (could be Windows, Linux or Mac) but WILLING to work in a MAC
OS environment.
" Fluency in C and C++, with strong problem-solving skills 
" Knowledge of file systems (ext3, NFS, and etc...)
" Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and have
strong organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly
" Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communications
skills
" Excellent inter-personal skills are required
Desired Skills: 
" Programming with real-time constraints
" Experience with Free BSD
" Knowledge of virtual file systems
" Operating system debugging skills (GDB, KDGB, KDB, and etc...)

Position Summary:
Sr to Prin level Engineer needed for a temp to perm role. This is a
highly distributed application so knowledge of distributed application
development or cluster programming is a must. Knowledge of embedded
systems, file system internals, or kernel programming on one of the
supported platform is a plus.
 
Required Skills:
" Able to ramp up quickly on SW/HW architectures and demonstrated
ability to develop complex software solutions.
" Proven experience using C/C++ language, with strong architecture,
coding and design skills.
" Able to write large amounts of high quality code that is robust,
extensible, portable and maintainable.
" Prefer previous systems level storage exp., ideally files systems.
Otherwise some type of algorithm development.

In-depth experience required in one or more of the following areas:
extensive systems software expertise with prior experience in developing
and shipping portable and modular software; Windows kernel internals,
Linux internals, Mac OS X kernel internals, real-time operating systems,
and device drivers; TCP/IP networking.
