Considering Rich Braun, he probably has a 2-bedroom apartment with both
bedrooms filled with computers, and he sleeps on a pull out couch in the
living room.
But, you are right on with that. Physical security is always the best
first option. But, for a regular person who essentially can't afford a
secure facility for his/her data, you've got to consider both encryption
and backing up to a secure backup location. One solution might be a safe
deposit box where you store your backups. So, if your home gets
burglarized and all your servers get stolen, at least you have some
relatively recent data.
