One example I would like to post. This was back in my San Antonio days. In
those days most connections were via phone or dedicated phone lines with
speeds up to about 9,600 bps. The phone company set up a dedicated line for
a professor friend of mine at San Antonio College. The dedicated line was
supposed to be isolated. After questioning the technician, he applied AC to
the circuit. Ma Bell was not very happy..
