Saw this mentioned on BLU...happening today:

http://artisansasylum.com/?p=1617
What: Artisan's Asylum Public Opening
Where: 10 Tyler Street, Somerville, MA 02143
When: Saturday, December 3, 1-5pm
Cost: FREE and open to the public! Bring friends!

Nice to see the concept of a "makerspace" taking off. A great resource
if you want to build stuff but don't have space for a wood shop or
machine shop in your own house/garage. This one covers wood, metal,
fabrics, and electronics/robotics. See:

(I had a similar idea (wood shop or machine shop that you could use by
the hour or get a membership to) years ago. Figured the economics
wouldn't work out, or the liability insurance would kill it.)

This place offers a membership for $40/month that gets you access on
weekends, or $15 a day. That offer a bunch of courses too.
