Strictly speaking, the B01 model of the pink Pogoplug does not have the
Marvell chip: it has an Oxford Semiconductor dual-core 700Mhz chip and
comes with 128MB of RAM. Rest of the specs are the same as the "old" E02
pink model with the Marvell chip. See:
http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6/pogoplug-provideov3

>From what I could gather from reading various forums, the performance of
the Oxford chip is inferior to the Marvel one, even accounting for the fact
that the Marvell chip is only single core. Couple that with the lower RAM
on this machine, the overall performance is relatively worse. The steps to
hack the device to install uBoot and a Linux distro are somewhat different
on a B01 model.

That said, a lot of the places selling the B01 model will actually ship the
E02 model. I had read this in some forums and ordered one about a month ago
from buy.com (for a few bucks more than the price at Amazon today). The box
said POGO-B01 and I was bummed about it, but the actual device inside was
indeed an E02 model. Obviously, you may get a different outcome from the
Pogoplug lottery.
