I see in today's email ad from Micro Center that they now carry the
Raspberry Pi model B (512 MB RAM):

10+ in stock in Cambridge.

Notably they're charging $39.99, rather than the usual $35. Although no
shipping, but of course sales tax (~$2.50, if I'm remembering out tax
rate correctly). (Were any of the US distributors offering free shipping?)

Strangely the manufacturer is listed as "Allied Electronics", which is
one of the US distributors, not the manufacturer. One of the product
pictures shows what appears to be the box it comes in, which shows the
"element14" logo on it. That's the other US distributor. I'm guessing
Micro Center is sourcing them from both distributors.

They have it in the "Hobby Electronics > Arduino/Netduino" category of
their site. I'd assume they'll be physically stocked in the game room in
Cambridge with the Arduinos.

They do carry a few accessories:

$10 red plastic enclosure (1 in stock)

$15 round red plastic enclosure (5 in stick)

$125 Make starter kit (3 in stock)

And a $30 "Learn Raspberry Pi with Linux" book:

Interestingly no power supply, though likely Micro Center carries
something suitable.

I guess if you just want a raw Pi and to avoid shipping cost/time, this
is a good option, otherwise ordering from a source like MCM Electronics
will get you a substantially better selection of accessories.
