Meeting Topic: Andrew User Interface System (AUIS) Bill Cattey will present a talk and live demonstration of the Andrew User Interface System (AUIS), showing how the Andrew Message system works for e-mail, as well as how Andrew can be used for publishing papers in an "ez" manner. Another thing to be shown will be a look into the Andrew Development Environment Workbench. This was technology that was first released in 1983. Other toolkits started later, had a poorer architecture, but have surpassed AUIS in polish. The Linux community has an opportunity to take this free technology and move it into the world-class arena just as they did with the UNIX architecture.
