I have an ethernet connection and a ppp connection. The ethernet works just fine, but the ppp connection will not work. I believe I have a routing problem. As I have read many fine manuals and still have no answer, I need help. My ethernet address: 192.168.0.18 (not on the net) My static ppp address: 198.115.180.39 The ppp link will be up once an hour to transfer mail. >From ifconfig: ppp0 Link encap:Point-Point Protocol inet addr:198.115.180.39 P-t-P:192.233.85.139 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 >From netstat -i: Kernel Interface table Iface MTU Met RX-OK RX-ERR RX-DRP RX-OVR TX-OK TX-ERR TX-DRP TX-OVR Flags lo 2000 0 0 0 0 0 253 0 0 0 BLRU ppp0 1500 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 PRU eth0 1500 0 941 0 0 0 239 0 0 0 BRU >From route: Kernel routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window Use Iface 192.233.85.139 * 255.255.255.255 UH 1436 0 0 ppp0 ethernet * 255.255.255.0 U 1436 0 245 eth0 loopnet * 255.0.0.0 U 1936 0 37 lo default * * U 1436 0 359 eth0
