GNU cfengine

Anybody else out there using the GNU cfengine package for (local ?)
system configuration management? I originally went looking for a package
that would provide map files of all the (important) symlinks on the
system; in this way they could be checked for correctness,
version-controlled, etc. Cfengine does all this and more, and now I'm
trying to figure out how to take advantage of its various features.
