I assume you're referring to Red Hat 5.0? I just poked through Red Hat's
web site, and found that the SPARC version of 5.0 is not yet available. I
couldn't reach their ftp site to see if there's a development directory
for 5.0 for SPARC.

Last year, Guy Bzibziak managed to do a network install of Red Hat onto a
SPARC SLC, which is very similar to the ELC. Guy is on the discuss at blu.org
mailing list, which I'vee cc'ed this to; perhaps he can offer a few
pointers, if you'd like to install Red Hat 4.2.
