In a previous episode Scott Lanning said... :: without introducing Windowsesque side-effects. Personally, I like that :: every tool works differently (to a certain extent), as it gives them :: different character. Eck, who wants boring uniformity anyway? I dunno; interesting thoughts. but the great irony, imho, is that while they all work differently the unix-esque paradigm of stdin/stdout/small granularity/architecture neutral protocols allows all the tools that work differently to work *together* so much more effectively than the same number of windows tools that might have all their buttons in the same place. a matter or priorities no doubt. -P - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
