I've been fighting this for too long, and would like a solution to this. Pine/Pico uses ^H for backspace, but emacs uses ^H for help, and the delete key backspaces. I normally have my ssh program (SecureCRT) map backspace to delete, so I can use the backspace key to backspace in emacs. But to compose email with pine/pico, I have to press control-H manually to backspace, which is awkward. I'm constantly pressing the backspace key, which is set up to the delete key, so it deletes instead of backspaces, usually ripping my signature apart. There's gotta be a way of doing this. What should backspace be mapped to? How can I get pine and emacs to kiss and make up? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------- DDDD David Kramer http://kramer.ne.mediaone.net DK KD DKK D It is better to be defeated on principal than to win on lies DK KD DDDD Arthur Calwell - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
