By default RH6.1 installed the 2.2.12-20-SMP kernel with a UP kernel option in LILO. This was on a Dual P233MMX, Tyan Tomcat IV system. I'm not sure about other distros, but I've got a pile of CheapBytes disks I need to try soon. Matthew J.
