While on this topic, I'd like to take a minute to advocate TiK. It's actively being developed at http://tik.sourceforge.net . It's highly configurable and runs under most platforms using Tcl/Tk (I've only used FreeBSD 2/3/4.X and Linux 2.2/2.4). I'd suggest compiling Tcl & Tk 8.3.1 from source, but it should run fine under earlier versions. Give it a try, it's fast, fun, and configurable up the wazoo. Brian J.
