PPPoE and OpenBSD or Linux

Hello to all:

I have Linux (Slackware) and OpenBSD (v. 2.7) boxes at home and would like
to know how to configure either/both to do PPPoE for a DSL connection?

As a second question, what is the difference between "regular" DSL and one
using PPPoE?
