They used ODBC drivers for everything. PostgreSQL has better ODBC drivers. I won't even comment on it beating Interbase, since the ODBC drivers for that are alpha at best, and binary-release only (AFAIK). The release is marketing drivel. There are no hard results, no numbers, nothing. MySQL/Interbase CAN'T run/pass some of the tests they ran (TPC-C) because of their design (another arguement entirely!! please don't start! <g>). It's comparing apples to oranges. When other DB vendors tout their performance results they usually give numbers or actual results, this is total marketing spin from Great Bridge, and it's a shame they picked a great open source tool like PostgreSQL to sell out with. -- Niall Kavanagh, niall at kst.com News, articles, and resources for web professionals and developers: http://www.kst.com - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
