hello, i am running rh 6.2 server and samba. i have a win98 client with a cd writer on it couple of questions: 1. when i do network neighborhood on win98 system and click on my linux server i get prompted with linux\$ipc and asks for a password (no password works) how can i get that working? 2. how can i see the cd-writer on the win98 system from the linux box so that i can make a backup of my linux system area. 3. or alternatively what software can i use if i had the cd-writer on the linux box? and how would smb.conf need to be set up in this case? i think/know this is all in smb.conf and if needed i will send my smb.conf to you, (if you understand and have a solution to the problem) thanx Niece __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
