When I put a disk in the tray and type "cdrecord -load", it blinks and clicks for about thirty seconds, pauses, and then gives a "CD/DVD-Recorder not ready" error. If, after that, I try "cdrecord -toc", it immediately ejects the disk, and then says "No disk / Wrong disk!" This happens with a Maxell CD-RW, an Imation CD-R, and a standard CD. I did "cdrecord -V -load &> cdrecord.err" with a standard CD in the open tray; you can see the output at "http://ropine.com/foo-cdrecord-err.txt". -- "Rav would never cross a bridge when an idolator was on it; he said, 'Maybe he will be judged and I will be taken with him.' Shmuel would only cross a bridge when an idolator was on it; he said, 'Satan cannot rule two nations [at once].' Rabbi Yannai would examine [the bridge] and cross." --Shabbat 32a == Seth Gordon == sethg at ropine.com == http://ropine.com/ == std. disclaimer == - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
