This might be old news to some, but I've just installed 'antiword', and it's great! It can be integrated with exmh (and probably other mail clients) to display Word documents inline. It also translates Word to Postscript. There were some example KDE links that allow drag and drop of a Word document to a desktop icon - the document comes up in Ghostview. The main link is: http://www.winfield.demon.nl/index.html The /etc/mailcap rule I used is: application/msword;/usr/local/bin/antiword -t %s | less; needsterminal; \ copiousoutput; print=antiword -p letter %s|lpr I was also able to create an application link so that a single click on a Word document in kfm brings it up in Ghostview.... No more waiting for StarOffice to come up... - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
