Red Hat installation problems

Hi,
  I am a newbie to linux....
  I am trying to install Red Hat Linux v7.0 on my computer and I am having
trouble with the monitor. I was wondering if somebody can tell me what to
do.
  I have a DELL Dimension 8100 machine. The installation goes fine all the
way till it gets to configuring the X windows. There the installer is not
able to successfully test the graphics card and it fails. I tried Mandrake
and that did not work either. Here are some specs on my monitor. If you
need more let me know,
  Dell E770s monitor
  Horiz sync range 50 - 70 kHz
  Vert sync range  60 - 160 Hz
  I have an nVidia graphics card with 32 MB memory.
  Additionally, is it okay to leave the clock chip setting to "no"?

let me know,
thanks and regards,
-kalyan
