hi all, i'm trying to install samba on my freeBSD machine, i have an updated ports tree. When i do a 'make' it downloads the samba tar file, and tries to patch, but it asks me what file to patch. I have no idea what to do at this point. The samething also happens to me with the Abiword port. Most other ports patch okay. if i skip the file to patch it will die. here's the output: bash-2.05$ sudo make >> samba-2.2.3a.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/. >> Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftp.samba.org/pub/samba/./. Receiving samba-2.2.3a.tar.gz (5460531 bytes): 100% 5460531 bytes transferred in 844.8 seconds (6.31 kBps) ===> Extracting for samba-2.2.3a >> Checksum OK for samba-2.2.3a.tar.gz. ===> samba-2.2.3a depends on executable: autoconf213 - found ===> samba-2.2.3a depends on shared library: cups.2 - found ===> Patching for samba-2.2.3a ===> Applying FreeBSD patches for samba-2.2.3a File to patch: any ideas? Thanks, --brad
