Addressing ide-tape as a scsi-tape

I have an Ide tape drive that I would like to
address as a scsi drive. I have seen some sketchy
documentation on doing this but no definitive
Howto. Has anyone done this? From the CDwriting
Howto I am lead to believe that I would follow a
similar procedure.

Any insite would be appreciated

Jim Kelly-Rand
