need help burning with burncd

when I use 'burncd' on my SCSI Plextor CDRW drive I get this:

   Zeus# burncd -f /dev/cd0c -s 8 data valhalla-i386-disc2.iso fixate
   burncd: ioctl(CDRIOCGETBLOCKSIZE): Inappropriate ioctl for device

ideas??
