Disabling ATAPI/scsi drivers in openbsd

i installed openbsd, but everytime it tries to detect my creative dvd-rom it hangs. the last line it displays before it hangs goes something like:

atapiscsi 0 ..... 2 targets

i think i need to disable the scsi drivers. how would i go about doing so ? And if i'm wrong then what might i do to fix it?
