Regarding LILO or GRUB: Choose whichever one that your closest UNIX guru knows best :-) LILO problems can be cryptic, but there are years worth of problems & answers cached in Google. GRUB is new enough that if you have a problem, you might not know anyone who's got an instant answer. The May 2001 Linux Journal had a good GRUB article.. Either one should work well. I would suggest avoiding commercial bootloaders unless you have a strong reason for not using LILO/GRUB. -Scott > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Sh [mailto:mnh_222 at lycos.com] > Sent: Tuesday, September 17, 2002 5:45 PM > To: discuss at blu.org > Subject: install questions > > > I have an older machine, Pentium 233 MMX, 256MB SDRAM, 512 > cache, (2) Western Digital 8.4 GB HDD, 24X CDROM, 2X CDRW. > I am presently running it as a Win ME machine, with the (C:\) > drive (hda) set as "primary master" and the (D:\) drive (hdb) > set as "primary slave".
