Failure to boot install-disk from SCSI CD-ROM drive.

Thanks to several people for imformative replies.

I Googled on "Loading spec packet failed" and found a bunch of stuff about how ISOlinux couldn't find SCSI CD-ROM drives. Luckily, the Mandrake ISO could be opened in Windows and it contained a raw-disk-image writer, and some floppy images. One of those
images was supposed to be able to find a SCSI CD-ROM. I was able to boot from the floppy, which could then find the CD, and the installation went fine from there on.

regards,
John Aspinall
