Somehow, it appears that the environment variables KDEDIR and QTDIR are being removed from the environment either by XEmacs or by KDE. I can set the variables in /etc/profile, .xsession, or elsewhere, but when I run XEmacs either from the KDE panel or from the desktop KDEDIR and QTDIR seem to be stripped from the environment. Other environment variables I set are present. I can run XEmacs from a terminal window and those environment variables are there, so there is something that I don't understand about KDE. It appears as if KDE is doing an unset on these variables. I'm running SuSE 8.1 with KDE 3.0.4. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
