Job Opening - Quincy, MA



A client of mine has a web developer/systems administrator position
available in Quincy, MA -- Salary is $30s - $40s.  I've pasted the
description below.
 
I've done contract work for his company for three years -- this would be
only the third employee in the business - most of the current
web/systems work is outsourced to myself and another contractor -- this
position will takeover alot of what we've done.

They're an open-source shop -- the systems run Debian, most of the web
development has been done in PHP / MySQL under Apache, and there's some
Perl used here and there..  They're great folks to work with....

-Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include web development,
network management, CRM, database creation and maintenance, programming,
affiliate and internet marketing, search engine optimization and overall
management of computer systems. Other responsibilities will include
customer service, email marketing, financial aid counseling and other
duties as required.   

 

-Job Duties: Duties will vary day to day. Primary responsibilities will
be overseeing the development and marketing of the network of student
loan and financial aid websites. Candidate will also be responsible for
developing and managing a CRM system. Additional tasks will include
responding to customer inquiries via email, phone and US mail.   

 

-Basic Minimum Requirements: Candidates are required to have 1-3 years
experience of web development/ network administration in financial aid
and/or student services. Applicants should also have BA or BS degree. We
are seeking self-motivated individuals who can handle a variety of tasks
independently and responsibly. 

 

-Technical Requirements: Experience with the following is desired -
Knowledge of Unix System Administration, HTML, dHTML, Front Page, PHP,
CSS, XML, mySQL  

 

- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Level Degree
