Linux-friendly ISPs?

Hi,

Absolute Linux newbie here, just dipping a toe in the
water. Before I buy, I want to make sure that I've
covered my bases.

Which ISPs with Boston-area access numbers are
Linux-friendly AND stable? My current ISP can't deal
with anything other than Windows and IE. I'm only
looking at dial-up at this point. Thanks for any
pointers.

I'm considering SuSE Personal and would appreciate any
comments on that as well. I'll be installing Linux
alongside Windows 98 on a Dell with a Pentium III
processor.

Amy
