They became Mediaone then ATTBI then Comcast. They were testing Cable
Internet way back in the early 1990s. I signed up in 1994. I had an
existing thin-wire network at home. When I ordered my cablemodem, the
ordering people had never heard of thin-wire. At that time, the cable
modem had an AUI connection and they would provide and AUI-BNC or
AUI-10baseT adaptor.
