Though, I've heard that some recent releases of the NVidia drivers have had problems, so I wouldn't rule that out entirely. Have a look in your home directory for a .xsession-errors file. If it's there, see what's in it. If it's not, look in /var/log for any X-related log files. Look also in /var/log/messages for any messages from the drivers or kernel which might indicate a problem. -- Derek D.
