ssh issues

When I connect to the new BLU server from home the server usually auto
disconnects. However, this does not happen when I am logged to the old
server. It also does not happen when I am logged in from work:
Home: SuSE 9.2 openssh-3.9p1-3.2
Work: SuSE 9.2 openssh-3.9p1-3.2
BLU New server: Fedora Core release 2 openssh-3.6.1p2-34
BLU Old server:Red Hat Linux release 7.1 2.4.20-28.7 kernel,
openssh-3.4p1-1

In all cases I use kssh to log in directly from the KDE menu. The validation
from home is by DSA keys, where the validation from work is via password
because it goes through a gateway.
