I bought a couple of laptop batteries on ebay. They weren't advertised as new (indeed, they were specifically advertised as "non-refurbished"). They seem to have lost 8~9% of their capacity. Anyone have any idea how good this is? Do these likely have a reasonable lifetime ahead of them? acpitool -e Kernel version : 2.6.13-15-defau - ACPI version : 20050408 ------------------------------------------------------------ Battery #1 : present Remaining capacity : 30820 mWh, 51.04% Design capacity : 66000 mWh Last full capacity : 60380 mWh, 91.48% of design capacity Capacity loss : 8.515% Present rate : 0 Charging state : charged Battery type : rechargeable, LION Model number : 0004M778 Serial number : 2298 Battery #2 : present Remaining capacity : 48480 mWh, 80.92%, 02:34:34 Design capacity : 66000 mWh Last full capacity : 59910 mWh, 90.77% of design capacity Capacity loss : 9.227% Present rate : 18818 mW Charging state : charging Battery type : rechargeable, LION Model number : 0004M778 Serial number : 318 AC adapter : on-line Fan : <not available> Thermal zone 1 : ok, 85 C
