I was hoping to get one of the GUIs working because I don't know the secret handshake to make the DVD. growisofs was able to take my dd of the DVD and make an otherwise-identical DVD, but I don't know if the "make me bootable" is part of the copying process or part of the burning process. Any advice there? > > There is also a command, cd-drive that will tell you what it thinks > about your DVD recorder: > cd-drive version 0.75 i686-suse-linux > Copyright (c) 2003, 2004, 2005 R. There's all sorts of unknown features, and it says it can't do burn-proof, which it can. No mention of dual layer though. Any suggestions? Should I just get a different burner? I would hate to do that, since this one was like $80. And how do I know which ones will work with these tools? ------------------------------------------------------------------- DDDD David Kramer http://thekramers.net DK KD DKK D My choice after I quit film school was either to be a script DK KD writer for porno flicks or a linux UI designer.
