Thanks for the advise, My requirements are essentially the same as DSR. I would prefer longer battery life in exchange for high speed graphics. But the thought of buying my first cutting edge machine also appeals to me. I have had good experience with NVidia and Debian so I will stick to it. I will also check out Tiger Direct. I will also check out the Ubuntu Dapper Drake list. Thanks again for the info. It is valuable and will help sway my decision.
