For example, even if I get FC5 64bit to install and run X. There is no Macromedia Flash support for 64bit linux. And there are a lot of other applications. For what it's worth, I'm running a dual-core Acer notebook without these freezes (those are reserved for the AMD machine at home...). I'm running the x86 SMP kernel (and it's nice and zippy) because it honestly hadn't occurred to me to run the x86_64. -Don
