When the Opterons first came out we had some problems with 3ware cards, drivers, and certain Tyan motherboards. But the situation has improved and our latest dual-socket Opteron (Tyan MB) machines work nicely with the new 3ware 9550-series cards and are solid/stable performers. Ed -- Edward H.
