The lab where I work, among others, we have a dual dual-core opteron (2218) machine running linux (gentoo). I can get the specifications and where it was bought from. But probably it's a bit overkill for you, we use it for physics simulations , MPI, etc. I've set it up to boot using PXE from another linux 'raid5 fileserver' and the machine works great. It surely sped up my computer code compilations/simulations :) Nuno On Mon, Apr 30, 2007 at 09:33:38PM -0400, markw at mohawksoft.com wrote: | I want to get a dual CPU motherboard, and I want it to support dual core -- http://aeminium.org/slug D30B 54C0 40A7 7D61 C44F 4BA4 F071 2168 F494 ACB9 -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
