Linux-compatible USB camcorder?

Their website's FAQ says it works on Windows 2000, XP, and MacOS, and
does not work on Vista. It also indicates that the device mounts as a
filesystem,
that recorded videos appear in the DCIM folder, and that they're in MPEG-4
format with a codec that's not one of the standard built-in WIndows codecs.

Based on their FAQ, it looks like copying the files off the device
should be
easy, but it's not clear what video and audio codec the videos use. Maybe
the codecs could be extracted from the device's built-in Windows
application,
if they're not already available in something like MPlayer.
