I can't say it's pretty, but it's a hell of a lot less resource intensive (esp. memory) than running a VMWare instance with a whole windows OS loaded (also doesn't require a Windows OS license). Crossover Office tries pretty hard to make it so you can set things up without writing a lot of scripts yourself. It's certainly a nice packaging job, if you don't mind coughing up the money.
