 I just upgraded to XUbuntu Gusty on my Tecra M3 notebook and it was a very 
nice improvement over Fiesty.  The fonts are nice and sharp.  The fan makes 
noticeably less noise which seems to indicate that the power stepping is 
working well (I have not had a chance to investigate though).  I think that 
the power frequency control is even better than the Win XP package that was 
provided by Toshiba
